The Corporate and Destination Communications unit conducts public relations activity within Australia and internationally to promote Victoria as a key travel destination. It also provides quality strategic advice and corporate communications for Tourism Victoria, including internal communications and crisis and issues management. Public relations and media activities are essential elements of Tourism Victoria's marketing strategy. The unit's primary purpose is to add value to marketing campaigns by working with Australian and international media to obtain editorial coverage that supports advertising and marketing themes. The Corporate and Destination Communications unit works with the full range of media including news and trade press, magazines, radio, television and online publicatons. The unit is also responsible for media relations, industry and internal communications and Tourism Victoria's annual report. The Media CentreThe Media Centre has been designed for Australian-based media and provides a broad range of information on upcoming events, new products, the latest news from Tourism Victoria as well as access to the image library.
