E-Marketing

The E-Marketing division is responsible for all electronic marketing activities including managing Tourism Victoria’s consumer and corporate websites. The division manages more than 20 websites, including foreign language variants, with over 2,500 pages of content.

Tourism Victoria uses online communications and technology to market Victoria as a premium tourist destination to Australian and international travellers.

All Tourism Victoria campaigns have an integral online component and the E-marketing division plays an important role in providing and updating web content. The E-Marketing strategy supports regional, state and international marketing campaigns via e-newsletters, search engine marketing, online advertisements and online promotions.

The E-Marketing division is responsible for providing online support to Victorian tourism operators and events wanting to list and promote their information on Tourism Victoria's key consumer site visitvictoria.com.

Visitvictoria.com has been the most popular state tourism organisation website for many years (in terms of the Australian internet audience). In the year to June 2007, it received 5.2 million visits, an increase of 13 per cent on the previous year, and 34 million page views, an increase of 2.1 million pages.
