As a State Government statutory authority, Tourism Victoria reports to the Minister for Tourism and Major Events, the Hon Tim Holding MP. Tourism Victoria is part of the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) Tourism Victoria's Chief Executive Gregory Hywood has additional wider responsibilities, as Deputy Secretary of the Brand, Communications and Tourism division. Tourism Victoria is part of this new division, which brings together all of DIIRD's marketing and communications teams, including Brand Victoria and Strategic Communications. Tourism Victoria is broken down into four key areas, Marketing; Industry and Investment; Strategy and Policy; and Executive Services. Executive Management and BoardFind out more about Tourism Victoria’s executive team and Board. MarketingMarketing Victoria is one Tourism Victoria’s key roles. The Marketing division is broken down into four areas: Destination and Product Marketing, International Marketing, E-marketing and Corporate and Destination Communications. Industry and InvestmentThe Industry and Investment division works closely with the industry to develop a commercially sustainable tourism industry. The division facilitates the delivery of quality tourism infrastructure of net benefit to Victoria through the identification of market opportunities, assistance to private and public sector projects and strategic input to projects of high priority to Victoria. Strategy and PolicyThe Strategy and Policy division works to create a strong strategic framework for the development of the tourism industry and creates accountability across Tourism Victoria through a range of planning and reporting functions. Executive ServicesThe Executive Services division supports DIIRD, other Government departments and the Tourism Victoria Board by providing advice and executive support. |
