The Victorian snowfields offer the ultimate winter village experience. They are the closest thing in the Southern Hemisphere to what you’ve come to see and hear of European alpine villages.
Victoria's mountains offer loads of fantastic runs for brilliant skiing day after day, and the villages are located at the bottom of the runs. This means you can ski to and from your accommodation, fitting more skiing into your day.
With the entire village located about the snowline, you will find every amenity you need, including restaurants, bars, lodges, shops and a cinema. So not only can you ski to your door at the end of the day, you’ll experience what true alpine village life is like.
The Victoria’s Snowfields. Never Come Down campaign targets regular, new and occasional skiers from Queensland, Perth, Sydney and Adelaide (aged 30-42) with a high disposable income. The 2010 campaign used a combination of print and online advertising, as well as other 'ambient’ activities, including ambush PR stunts throughout the Melbourne and Brisbane CBDs, which are popular with the target audience. The 2011 campaign is being developed by Tourism Victoria and the Board for Alpine Resorts Tourism (BART). |
