Bushfire safety resources for businesses

Tourism businesses and booking agencies are encouraged to order a Bushfire Safety Resource Kit, which contains materials designed to help inform visitors about bushfire safety.

Each kit includes the following materials:

Staying in high-risk bushfire areas: safety tips for visitors

This brochure provides important bushfire safety tips for travellers staying in high bushfire risk areas, including information on Fire Danger Ratings and Total Fire Bans.

Key tags

The small key tag conveys where to go for bushfire information and updates.

Removable fridge stickers

This small fridge sticker encourages visitors to stay informed about bushfire safety during their visit and includes where to go for information and updates. The sticker can adhere to all fridges and is removable.

Fire Danger Rating display (for hosted accommodation only)

Designed to sit on a reception desk or counter, this display provides clear advice on what to do on days with a Very High, Severe, Extreme or Code Red Fire Danger Rating.

Township Protection Plans

Developed for a number of communities by the CFA, Township Protection Plans contain local bushfire safety information including local bushfire risks and maps with key landmarks, routes and Neighbourhood Safer Places (places of last resort). A selection of hard copies is available to order.
