The Victorian Tourism Awards recognise and reward excellence across all sectors of the tourism and hospitality industry.

Australian Tourism Awards

The winners of the state and territory tourism awards compete for national recognition at the annual Australian Tourism Awards.

Australian Hotels Association (AHA) (Victoria) State Awards for Excellence

The annual AHA State Awards for Excellence celebrate achievement in the hospitality. There are around 40 categories including best country hotel restaurant, best hotel bar, best entertainment venue and best presented beer.

Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) (Victoria) State Awards for Excellence

Specifically targeting the accommodation sector, the TAA (VIC) State Awards for Excellence are highly respected awards for the hotel industry.  Not only do the Awards reinforce TAA (Vic) as Victoria’s pre-eminent hospitality industry association and service provider, however they provide a platform for assessing and promoting industry excellence within your hotel. 

Melbourne Airport Developing Tourism Leaders Awards

The Melbourne Airport Developing Tourism Leaders Awards are for students studying tourism, events, hospitality and culinary arts in Victoria. The awards are an employment development exercise for final year students to develop innovative small business concepts and business plans for tourism products. The business plans are judged by a panel of industry representatives on the feasibility of the business, product innovation and knowledge of the tourism industry.

Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

Since this global Ernst & Young program started in Australia in 2001, some 647 leading Australian entrepreneurs have been recognised for their entrepreneurial spirit, with entrants assessed by a leading panel of independent judges on their innovation, integrity, influence, strategic direction and national/global impact.

Governor of Victoria Export Awards

The Governor of Victoria Export Awards showcase the truly remarkable achievements of Victoria's export sector. Winners from each state and territory awards automatically progress as national finalists to the Australian Export Awards. Winners of these major awards add value to their business through competitive advantage,a virtual passport to overseas markets, increased respect within their industry, heightened awareness of their company and their products, and through promoting company pride.

Best of Wine Tourism Awards

The Best Of is an initiative of the Global Network of Great Wine Capitals, of which Melbourne is a member. It recognises global excellence in wine tourism in a number of categories. Entries are assessed by a panel of judges in each city and at the annual general meeting an international jury nominates one international winner for each city across all categories. Network member cities are: Bordeaux, Bilbao/Rioja, Cape Town, Florence, Melbourne, Mendoza, Porto, San Francisco/Napa Valley.

Gnunkai Awards

The Gnunkai Awards have been established to formally acknowledge exceptional commitment and contribution to indigenous tourism.

HMAA Awards

The Hotel Motel & Accommodation Association Awards for Excellence acknowledge and reward excellence in the accommodation industry. The success of tourism in Victoria is largely dependent on the standards of accommodation throughout the state. The awards promote and evaluate growth and development in the area. Entrants in certain categories have the option of also submitting their entry into the Victorian Tourism Awards.

International Customer Service Weeks Awards

These awards recognise individuals or businesses that deliver world class service. My Customer Rules is joint initiative from GAPbuster Worldwide, a leading brand experience agency, and ICSP International Customer Service Professionals, an internationally renowned professional body in customer service.

The Melbourne Awards

Since 2003 the Melbourne Awards have celebrated the people and organisations whose achievements, hard work and vision have shaped the future of our city. The aim is to inspire and challenge others to make their contribution to creating a better Melbourne. The Melbourne Awards honour significant contributions to Melbourne’s profile, community and environment. Winners are selected through an independent judging process which also serves to introduce entrants to a wide range of industry leaders and professionals who can become ambassadors for the achievements they witness.

Powercor/Prime Business Excellence Awards

The Powercor/Prime Business Excellence Awards is a joint initiative of Mildura Tourism and the Mildura Chamber of Commerce. The awards are held annually in October and recognise the achievements of commercial businesses including tourism from the Mildura and Wentworth region.

Restaurant & Catering Victoria Awards for Excellence

The Awards for Excellence are open to members of Restaurant & Catering Victoria. Awards are held for both restaurant and catering categories. Victorian winners proceed to the Restaurant & Catering Australia National Awards for Excellence.

Telstra Business Awards

The Telstra Business Awards program, running since 1992, is one of Australia’s most highly regarded and prestigious business awards programs. The awards recognise and reward business excellence and innovation across Australia.
