The ‘Inspired by Gippsland’ campaign positions the region as one with diverse and inspiring natural experiences. The campaign challenges some current perceptions of the region as a purely coastal holiday experience, by depicting inland landscapes.
Launched in October 2006, this campaign aims to encourage visitors from Melbourne and Canberra to tour and explore Gippsland by car. This will also target Southern and coastal NSW and internationally in the UK and Europe markets. Targeting the Socially Aware Roy Morgan Value Segment™ (people 45-64 years), who are defined by their love of nature, this campaign uses magazine and press advertising and online mediums.
