Are you a Tour company? Click here for information specific for Tour business listings

Operators who have not yet updated their business or event listing need to login at my.visitvictoria.com and edit the below three sections of their listing. Watch the video tutorial on my.visitvictoria.com to learn how to use the new system.

To make the most of the new design of visitvictoria.com operators need to login at my.visitvictoria.com and update three parts of their listing.

1. Images. The new website design features much larger images. Existing images can appear on the new site, however they won't be the correct size and will not look very good.

To make the process of uploading images as easy as possible, we have built a new image uploader tool that does all the work for you. Gone are the days of manipulating images to specific dimensions before uploading them, just select an image and upload the original straight from your computer. Up to 9 images can be uploaded.

2. Service level – e.g. rooms, tours, hire services, and transport services. Service level only applies to accommodation, hire, tour and transport products. If you are one of these categories, please upload information about the various services your business provides. For example, accommodation listings can describe room types and tour listings can load information about individual tours.

3. Tariffs. Please upload your latest rates and tariffs. Where and how tariff information is loaded depends on the type of product listing.

Accommodation products now set tariffs to individual rooms. Room rates are loaded in the ‘Indicative Rates Per Room’ section within each room type.

Hire, Tours and Transport products now set tariffs to the individual services they offer. Tariffs are loaded in the ‘Indicative Rates Per Service’ section within each service type.

Events and attractions products load ticket or admission prices in the ‘Entry Cost’ section. No service level is required for events or attractions.

Please note if listings are not updated before the site is launched in July operator listings will still appear on the site, however, unless updated, listings will not display information about rooms and tours, or tariff information. The new system requires operators to load larger photographic images. The old images will still appear but the images will not be the correct size for the page, reducing the visual appeal of your listing.

Information for Tour Companies

Operators who have not yet updated their business listing need to login at my.visitvictoria.com and edit the below three sections of their listing. Tour operators must update their listing with information about their individual tours. Watch the video tutorial on my.visitvictoria.com to learn how to use the new system.

As tour companies are different to other types of tourism business, we have put a lot of thought into how they are displayed on the new visitvictoria.com.

The biggest improvement for tour listings is individual tours will now be displayed as their own page, with details of the tour company attached to each tour. Further, individual tours will appear in search results and navigation, rather than the tour company.

For example, a tour company that has an office in Melbourne but runs 3 tours; one in the High Country, one in The Murray and one in Gippsland, each tour will be found in the search and navigation for the region it is located.

As individual tours will now have their own page; tour operators must load images, descriptions and tariffs in the 'Tours' section of my.visitvictoria.com.

1. Images. Gone are the days of manipulating images to specific dimensions before uploading them. A new image uploader tool does all the work for you. Just select an image and upload the original straight from your computer. Up to 9 images can be uploaded.

While tour companies can load general images for their business for distribution on ATDW sites, please make sure you load images specific to each tour in the Tours section. This will ensure the individual page for each tour on visitvictoria.com has images relevant to that tour.

2. Tours.  Please upload detailed information about your tours, including images, description, starting point location and tariffs (up to 5 can be added). These will appear as individual pages on visitvictoria.com.

3. Tariffs. Tariffs are loaded in the ‘Indicative Rates Per Service’ section within each Tour.
