Merricks General Store

Leading wineries, restaurants, spas, gardens, golf courses and accommodation on the Mornington Peninsula have worked together to create the 2009 Winter Indulgence program (1 June - 31 August), a special seasonal offering of tempting food and wine adventures and experiences only available over winter including special tours, accommodation packages, special dinners, and meet-the-maker food and wine events.

Available from the Visit Mornington peninsula website (www.visitmorningtonpeninsula.org), some highlights of Winter Indulgence include the ‘Harvest on Horseback tour' at Lindenderry Red Hill, which combines horse trail rides with wine tastings at Red Hill's vineyards with lunch and accommodation; High Tea and Spa Sundays at Woodland Estate and special Winter Beer Appreciation Sessions on the first Sunday of each month and a ‘Breakfast and Bathe' package at Peninsula Hot Springs.

The Winter Indulgence program also has many food / wine themed offers and events including Saturday evening soirees at Stillwater at Crittenden Estate (including degustation menus matched with premium wines and live entertainment), Winter Winemaker dinners at  Ten Minutes by Tractor in Red Hill, and midweek winter lunch specials at several of the peninsula's most acclaimed winery restaurants including Salix at Willow Creek, Tucks Ridge, Stillwater at Crittenden, Merricks General Store and Dromana Estate Café and Cellar Door.
