Penguin Island documentary inspires new tour at Phillip Island

Penguin Island documentary inspires new tour at Phillip Island

Based on the success of the acclaimed ABC1 documentary, Penguin Island, Phillip Island Nature Parks has developed a new tour for visitors who want to experience the world of Little Penguins in the same way as the eco-rangers portrayed in the six part series.

Tour highlights include learning about the Little Penguin’s  lifecycle, breeding patterns, food supplies and how humans have impacted their lives; visiting the ‘penguin love nests’ behind the busy Penguin Café; walking the new boardwalks; and learning about the history of the penguin parade and the way scientists are monitoring the penguins.

The Penguin Island Tour also includes exclusive ‘Penguin Plus’ reserved seating on a raised viewing platform giving visitors an up-close experience with the penguins, a copy of the Penguin Island DVD and a penguin green-screen photo experience to take home.
